Glenview residents can enjoy a special visit to the Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago. The museum is hosting a free evening for residents from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13.
A live insect exhibit shows visitors the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly, the Illinois state insect, and the exhibit "Chagall for Children" offers a multi-sensory, hands-on exploration of artist Marc Chagall's works. You can also enjoy 17 hands-on, interactive permanent exhibits, including Water Works, Music Makers, Pet Vet, Dominick's supermarket and Hands On House.
Kohl Children's Museum, which opened in 2005, was built on over nine acres of Village-owned land. This special event is part of the museum's "in-kind" compensation for its lease.
The museum is located at 2100 Patriot Blvd. Bring along a piece of identification showing a current Glenview address for free admission.
