​Wide Open West (WOW) -- one of the providers that offers cable, TV, phone and internet service within incorporated Glenview -- has begun the next phase of its build out to expand service to residents living north of East Lake Avenue roughly between the Union Pacific railroad tracks and Sunset Ridge Road and in the northwest corner of the Village.

Aerial construction has begun in an area bounded by Winnetka Road, Wagner Road, East Lake Avenue and Waukegan Road. Crews will be hanging cable on existing utiilty poles.

Weather permitting, contractors will also be doing underground work in areas that have been marked with flags. The work will primarily be done on parkways, but in some cases easements have been granted on private property where existing utilities are already in place.

WOW workers have been hanging tags on doors so that residents know they are in the area.
