Amendment to Municipal Code
shifting the time limitation for solicitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Village has been challenged on its 6 p.m. time limit and case law now supports the 9 p.m. limit as, in an increasing number of two-earner households, homes are vacant at 6 p.m. Homeowners and Homeowner Associations are free to post "No Soliciting" signs on their private property.
Vote 3-1 in favor.
