5/11/07> Public Meeting Announced
A Public Workshop on the Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Plan will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31st, 2007 at the Village of Glenview Police Station Community Meeting Room. The purpose of the Workshop will be to receive public comment on the draft Plan. At the end of the meeting, the Committee may approve the document, including any necessary corrections, and forward a recommendation on the Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Plan to the Plan Commission.

5/11/07> Plan Update Anticipated
A revised copy of the Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Plan is anticpated by May 21st. The revised version contains modest edits from the Committee draft based on Committee comments, and will be available on this web site as soon as possible.

1/28/07> Draft Charrette Documents Added
The charrette was an overwhelming success, thank you to everybody who participated. A plan document that incorporates the goals and principles formulated during the week will be prepared over the next couple months. Photographs of the charrette are available <click here>

1/24/07> Charrette Ends with Work In Progress Presentation

1/19/07> Charrette Begins with Kickoff Presentation
The charrette began Friday night with an opening presentation about the project and the corridor, closing with some "food for thought" about the future of Milwaukee Avenue. Approximately 50 residents, business owners and concerned citizens turned out to hear the presentation and ask questions about the project.

1/18/07> IDOT Meets with Owners, Staff, Team
IDOT spent Thursday afternoon talking with land owners, Village staff and the design team about the proposed Phase I improvements at Lake and Milwaukee.

1/15/07> IDOT Lake/Milwaukee Meeting Confirmed
IDOT has agreed to meet with landowners affected by the proposed Lake/Milwaukee intersection improvements during the afternoon on January 18 (1-5 PM). This event will be held in the Community Room of the Glenview Police Station on Lake Avenue.

12/18/06> Committee Meeting
The Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Committee met to discuss the roadway configuration and potential planning areas within the corridor.

11/27/06> Committee Meeting
The Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Committee met to discuss the logistics for the charrette.
