Tuesday, April 5, 2011. The polls will be open 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

CAN I VOTE IN THIS ELECTION?
To vote, you must register. And to register, you must be at least 18 years of age by Election Day, and a United States citizen. You also need to have resided at your registration address for 30 days preceding the election.
WHAT'S THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN THIS ELECTION?
Tuesday, March 8 -- and you can do that at the Glenview Village Hall (see below). A "Grace Period" runs from March 9-29. Keep in mind, though, that you can only take advantage of this grace period by registering at one of the six Cook County Clerk Offices (the nearest is in Skokie at 5600 West Old Orchard Road, Room 149.)
WHERE CAN I REGISTER TO VOTE AND WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
- Village Hall Finance Department, 1225 Waukegan Road, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Bring two pieces of identification with your current legal name and address.
- If you are a naturalized citizen, bring your naturalization papers or a valid passport.
WHERE DO I VOTE?
Check the Cook County Clerk's Office website at www.voterinfonet.com -- you can plug in your home address and the site will provide the address of your polling place. You can also call the Clerk's Office at 312.603.0906 or stop by its satellite office at 5600 West Old Orchard Road, Room 149, in Skokie.
I CAN'T GET TO THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY. HOW CAN I VOTE?
You can either vote absentee -- or take advantage of early voting between March 14-31 PLEASE NOTE THAT EARLY VOTING ENDS ON A THURSDAY. Village Hall is an early voting site -- hours will be Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. - noon on Saturday.
