Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. in the conference room at Glenview Fire Station 6. On roll call the following were:
Present: Board President/Trustee Nick Rusher, Secretary/Trustee Tom Dvorak, Trustee Mike Caplis, Trustee Bob Rounsfull, and Carol Bjankini, Recording Secretary
Absent: Trustee Mike McPeek, Village Manager Todd Hileman
Other Business: Current Trustee Tom Dvorak's term expires in April 2011. In accordance with 40 ILCS 5/4-121, Public Act 94-037 the Glenview Firefighters Pension Fund must hold an election in April 2011 to fill one active firefighter position on the Board. Trustee Caplis motioned that Trustee Rusher distribute a notice requesting nominations from active members and proceed with the election in April; Trustee Rounsfull seconded and a roll call was taken and the vote was all ayes, no nays and the motion passed.Trustee Dvorak motioned that Trustee Rusher provide Lauterbach & Amen with the 2011 Annual Affidavit of Continued Eligibility form, and request they include it with the February mailing; Trustee Caplis seconded and a roll call was taken and the vote was all ayes, no nays and the motion passed.
As Trustee Rusher discussed the options of comparing fees and services against other investment firms the Board was in agreement that a Request for Proposal (RFP) should transpire. Trustee Rounsfull motioned that Trustee Rusher contact Pension Attorney Keith Karlson for guidance regarding the RFP process and proceed with the search; Trustee Caplis seconded and a roll call was taken and the vote was all ayes, no nays and the motion passed.
On March 16, 2011 Trustee Rusher will attend a seminar sponsored by the IPPFA regarding new pension laws. The fee of this seminar is $100.00. Trustee Dvorak motioned to direct Lauterbach & Amen to prepare the check to reimburse Trustee Rusher $100.00; Trustee Rounsfull seconded and a roll call was taken and the motion passed.
