You can find GVTV on Comcast Channel 17 or Channel 6 (depending on your neighborhood) and on Wide Open West (WOW!) cable system on Channel 17. GVTV is not available to any satellite dish customers.
Glenview Television (GVTV) is a Government Access station owned and operated by the Village of Glenview. More than 10,000 homes receive GVTV.
Since 1985 GVTV has been committed to providing timely and relevant programming and information to the residents of Glenview. The station's facilities and equipment are located at the Village Hall and managed by a full time cable coordinator.

Over 15 trained volunteers work together to produce an average of 10 hours of original programming every week, including the production of four live Village meetings a month. Coverage of special events such as the Summer Concerts, Fourth of July Parade and the Annual Summer Festivals are also produced. The operation of the station is only possible through the hard work and dedication of its volunteers. Over 4,000 hours of their time is donated annually. Training classes on all aspects of television production is available to residents of Glenview and Golf 18 years of age or older at no charge.
In addition to producing programs, GVTV operates a "Community Bulletin Board" which runs in between programming. The "CBB" lists agenda items of the Village Board and Commission meetings; helps publicize community events and alerts residents to important news and information. Additionally, local businesses can list job openings on the channel. There are no fees for any of these services.
DVD & VHS Copies of all programs seen on GVTV are available for a fee of $10.00 if you supply the videotape, DVD or $20.00 if you buy the tape or DVD and program from GVTV.
