Animal Control Officer
The Police Department is staffed by a full-time Animal Control Officer who deals with the dangers and nuisances caused by wild or stray animals. Animals are required to be licensed on a yearly basis with the Village. The license year is July 1st through June 30th. Applications for the pet licenses are available at the Village Hall. The Village has a leash law which prohibits any dog or dangerous, unruly, fierce, or mischievous animal running at large in the Village. Any animal that is found to be in non-compliance with the leash law shall be subject to impounding and the owner is subject to a fine.
