We Want to Hear From You!

Recently, the Village applied for Federal funding to convert 100 downtown streetlights to LED technology. This would reduce energy and labor costs as LED bulbs last longer than traditional bulbs and thus require less maintenance.

To gather public feedback on this type of lighting, the Public Works Department has installed two temporary LED sample streetlights -- one “warmer” and one “cooler” -- in the West Fork Green area downtown (on the south side of Glenview Road immediately east of the river).  The sample LED streetlights are marked by signage.
