​About Solicitations 

Each year, residents of the Village of Glenview receive telephone calls from solicitors asking for donations to support fundraising efforts for various "firefighter funds." Most recently, individuals identifying themselves as representatives of the North Suburban Firefighters Association have been soliciting donations, stating that this organization represents the interests of the Glenview Fire Department. It has never been, and is not, the practice of the Glenview Fire Department to authorize private entities to engage in fundraising efforts on behalf of the Glenview Fire Department. As such, the Glenview Fire Department receives no funding whatsoever from this organization. Residents are strongly urged to contact the Fire Department or Police Department if they feel that they have been improperly solicited for donations in the name of the Glenview Fire Department.
