Suppression and Rescue
The 87-member department service a population of 60,000 over a 21 square mile area. This area also includes portions of unincorporated Cook County. The Department currently staffs five fire houses.
The Department has earned a fire insurance rating of 3 from the Fire Insurance Services Office (ISO) of Illinois. ISO ratings are based on the fire department itself, the local water supply and department communications Ratings run from 1-10 Glenview's high rating means that property owners enjoy relatively low insurance rates.
