The closing of the Glenview Naval Air Station provided a unique opportunity for the Village of Glenview to accommodate new public service and safety amenities. It allowed the Village to address long-standing community needs and concerns such as providing sites for storm water drainage and storage, a community center and a middle school.

New recreational opportunities abound with the creation of neighborhood parks, Gallery Park and Little Bear Garden. The re-location of the Kohl Children’s Museum to the Village creates a unique and exciting playground for young children and their families.
