Work Requiring A Permit

A permit is needed for work in connection with, but not limited to the following:

1.Construction (concrete, framing, masonry, electrical, plumbing, decks, patios)
2.Enlargement
3.Remodeling
4.Altering
5.Repair
6.Erecting
7.Raising / Lifting
8.Lowering
9.Underpinning
10.Moving
11.Demolition / Razing of any building
12.Any other work or action for which a fee is prescribed
13.Removal or installation of any interior or exterior wall
14.Removal or installation of any supporting wall, column, post, truss, girder, beam
15.Installing, closing, or changing any stair-hall, fire escape, scuttle, skylight, door or other means of communication, ingress, egress
16.Changing the number, location or connections of the fixtures, traps, vents, waste, soil, drain
17.Connections of the fixtures of the lighting system
18.Changing to a different system of heating, cooling, or ventilation
19.Re-shingling or recovering of roofs
20.Renewing of exterior finishing
21.Pools / hot tubs

Work Not Requiring A Permit

1.Painting
2.Carpeting
3.Trim work
4.Cabinets (installation of, not involving re-location, change in lay-out, or electrical work)
5.Paneling
