Village President's Report
- Appointment of Hannah Nelson and reappointment of Nancy Halliday to the Natural Resources Commission;
appointment of Jon Leverenz
to the Appearance Commission.
- The next meeting of the Resident Storm Water Task Force is scheduled for
Wednesday, February 11. The Task Force is very interested in public input; residents are encouraged to participate in a brief
on-line survey, which will be collecting feedback
through the end of February.
Approved
- Amendments to Building and Electrical Codes; adoption of 2006 International Fire Code.
- Declaration of Village computers and related equipment as surplus.
- Bid and Contract awards for:
- Legislative consulting services to Cullen and Associates. Budget: $46,200.
- Well pump repair services to Layne Western. Budget: not to exceed $80,000.
- Purchase of five replacement vehicles for a total cost of $112,780.
- Single-lot subdivision for 975 Thornwood Lane -- Thornwood Glen.
- Stop sign at Vernon Drive and Raleigh Road.
At the January 8 meeting, the Board denied a request for a stop sign at this
intersection. Because a letter was received from a resident asking that the
matter be reconsidered, it was back on the agenda. Vote 5 - 1 in favor.
- Participation in the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus Greenest Region Compact of Metropolitan Chicago.
First Consideration
- Use of digital price displays on gas station signs.
- Final Site Plan for 3 Waukegan Road – Glenview Crossing.
Remanded
- Changes to the Appearance Code regarding multi-tenant commercial ground signs. Remanded to the Plan and Appearance Commissions for review of
landscaping requirements.
Tabled
- Recapture Ordinance for Pleasant Lane storm sewer.
