- Greenleaf Manor, 3345 Sanders Road.
Request for Board Direction
- Driveway relocation for Ace Hardware on Waukegan Road. As part of the Village's Waukegan Road Curb Cut Consolidation Program, the southern-most driveway on Waukegan will be closed and relocated, exiting south onto Pebble Creek Drive just west of Waukegan. The Board supported this plan.
Remanded to Zoning Board of Appeals
- Request to re-establish a permitted "non-confirming use" (auto service) at 1148 Waukegan Road. The property owner's previous tenant provided this service, which isn't generally permitted under the Downtown Development Code. Three months after the tenant vacated the building the non-conforming use lapsed and any future such use would not be allowed to occupy the space. However, the Zoning Board recommended approval of the re-establishment of this use. The Board asked that the Zoning Board clarify its reasoning. Vote 4-2 in favor of remanding to Zoning Board.
