Approved

  • Amendment to Special Event Policy pertaining to insurance requirements. The Village will now have the flexibility to set varying insurance requirements for specific events, based on their size, scope and type.
  • Conditional use and final site plan for the new Field's Auto Dealership to be developed at the northwest corner of Willow and Patriot.
  • Special Events:
    • Summer Sounds at The Glen Tuesday Concert Series, June 10-September 9, including temporary road closure of Navy Boulevard.
    • Cruisin' at The Glen, June 15, July 20, August 17.
    • Glenview Chamber of Commerce Summer Festival, June 28 - temporary "No Parking" zones, temporary animal restrictions, temporary prohibition of bicycles, roller skates, roller, blades, and skate boards.
    • Youth Make a Difference 5K Run/Walk, June 29 - temporary "No Parking" zone in the Concord and Southgate subdivisions.
    • Valley Lo fireworks display, July 3.
    • Glenview Park District fireworks display, July 4.
    • Taste of the The Glen, July 5 & 6, including temporary road closure of Navy Boulevard.
    • Glenview Park District Annual Sprint Triathlon, July 27 - temporary road closure.
  • Contract Awards:
    • Thermoplastic lane marking services to Superior Road Striping. Budget: $28,849.
    • Crack sealing services to Complete Asphalt Services. Budget: $24,892.
    • Social service provision to Family Service Center of Wilmette, Glenview, Northbrook and Kenilworth. Budget: $50,000. This item also included a budget amendment.

First Consideration

  • Text amendment creating the Downtown Development District regulations and a map amendment rezoning those parcels in the downtown area. This is the Form Based Code that has been developed over the past year as part of the Downtown Revitalization Project.
  • Rezoning, vacation of right-of-way, final site plan, preliminary subdivision and appearance, and conditional use for the Glenview Public Library, 1920 Glenview Road. A Public Hearing was held on this matter. Vote 4-1 in favor.
  • Consolidation of all Village fees into one Fee Ordinance that can be updated and revised annually.

  • Annexation with annexation agreement, rezoning, final site plan, preliminary subdivision and associated variances for 3345 Sanders Road and 3760 Greenleaf Avenue and the Northeast corner of Greenleaf Avenue.
  • Annexation with annexation agreement, rezoning, final site plan, preliminary subdivision, and associated variations for 1 Culligan Parkway - Culligan.
  • Annexation with annexation agreement, rezoning, final site plan, preliminary subdivision and associated variances for 3235 Milwaukee Avenue - North Milwaukee Townhomes.
  • Conditional use ordinances for Westbrook School, 1333 Greenwood Road; and Henking School, 2941 Linneman.

Denied

  • Train station brick paver repair services to Midwest Brick Paving. Budget: $92,675. The Board rejected this bid in order to consider an alternative option: stamped concrete. Staff will return to the Board with a recommendation regarding the use of stamped concrete at a later time.
