Village Attorney's Report
- Update on 2024 Burr Oak: This partially-constructed home, never completed, poses a health and safety danger. Last week, the Village was successful in its lawsuit to have the structure demolished.
Approved
- Temporary street closures for Art at the Glen Town Center, Amdur Productions, August 7.
- Contract award for crack sealing services to North Suburban Asphalt Maintenance. Budget: $108,000.
- Settlement agreement and mutual general release for the disconnection of certain territory from the Glenbrook Fire Protection District.
- Single-lot subdivision for 1539 Central Parkway - Danko.
- Design and construction expenditures of $50,000 for the Glenview Road/Greenwood Road Parking Mitigation Project.
- Resolution declining participation in Cook County's Red Light Camera Program (which would have resulted in a camera being installed at Landwehr and Lake); requirement that any future installations of red light cameras within the Village's corporate boundaries shall not occur without the prior approval of the corporate authorities. Vote 4-1 in favor.
- Policy change regarding private elevator inspections. Previously, the Village's private contractor conducted these inspections and the Village billed the property owner for the inspection fee. Now, the contractor will invoice property owners and collect the fees on behalf of the Village.
- Conditional use (a B-3 use in an I-2 Light Industrial District) for Good Guys Automotive, 3150 West Lake Avenue, Unit C.
First Consideration
- New chapter of the Municipal Code providing for the regulation and licensing of manufactured home communities.
- Reduction of on-street parking along Beaver Road adjacent to the entrance to Cunliff Park during the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Designation (through the Village's Landmark Ordinance) of 106 Park Drive as historically significant.
