Village Manager's Report
- Mid-year Financial Update. The current 2010 revenue projection (budgeted at $52.7 million) is $54.2 million. This is primarily due to over $2.5 million in one-time revenues in the first half of 2010, which will help offset declines in state and local sales tax, state income tax, and utility tax. The current 2010 expense projection (budgeted at $52.7 million) is $53.2 million. Senior management continues to evaluate how the Village delivers services to the citizens of Glenview. Every opportunity to maintain service levels, cut costs, and increase efficiency is carefully considered.
- Update on Proposed Asphalt Plant in Northbrook. This business has approached the Village of Northbrook with a request to locate near the north end of The Glen (west of Patriot and east of Shermer) -- within Northbrook, but bordering Glenview. No formal application has been filed, however, Northbrook Village staff will notify Glenview staff should this happen. In the meantime, Village staff are gathering contact information for nearby Home Owners Associations and resident groups (as well as Thomas Place) in order to keep residents informed.
