Village President's Report
- Swearing in of Police Officer Philip Javier.
- The Board approved a request from
Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook to waive building permit fees of
$77,408 for its new facility on West Lake Avenue, in part because the agency had incurred expenses when the Village asked it to
change sites during the Navy Land Use Planning Process.
Village Manager's Report
- Proposed plan to offset parking space loss during new library construction.
To help offset the temporary loss of parking spaces due to construction, Village staff proposed offering a total of 61 commuter lot
spaces -- 39 (for employees) at the south end of Railroad Avenue and in the Village lot just south of Fire
Station 6; and 22 (for library patrons) at the north end of Railroad Avenue. The Board provided feedback, and asked that staff research options involving dedicated street parking during the
construction period.
