Village Manager's Report
- Presentation of the 2008 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
Approved
- Conditional Use for Verizon Wireless, 2305 Sanders Road.
- Subdivisions:
- 3111 West Lake Avenue - Villas of Glen Park (final).
- 1718 West Ridgewood Lane - Zubrowski (single-lot).
- 611 Milwaukee Avenue - Glen-Mil Plaza (final).
- Contract award for Rugan St. Roof Replacement Project to L. Marshall, Inc. Budget: $598,800.
- Discontinuation of private alarm monitoring services at 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.
- Declaration of salvage equipment and furniture. Because the Village received a large donation of furniture from a local company, it now has a great deal of old furniture, in poor condition, to dispose of. The furniture will be staged in the former Police Station; that way it will be recycled when the former station is demolished. Vote 5-1 in favor.
- Variation in the number of required parking spaces for 2400 Waukegan - Glenview Animal Hospital.
- Declaration of a backup emergency generator and transfer switch from now-demolished former Fire Station 7 as well as an outdated portable GPS navigation device as surplus property.
- Final site plan, variation, and final subdivision for 1 Culligan Parkway -- Glen Star.
First Consideration
- Elimination of a portion of the current "no parking" restrictions on the south side of Johns Court.
- No parking zone along a portion of the east side of Kenilworth Lane and a portion of the northwest side of Kenilworth Avenue.
Continued
- Amendments to Village Code to allow a 12-month requirement for site plan and conditional use expirations in which the initial permit must be attained. The expansion of this requirement is due to the economic downturn; petitioners are having trouble complying with the current deadline requirements.
- First consideration of a Plan Commission denial for rezoning at 235 East Lake Avenue – Meier’s Tavern.
