Village President's Report
- Character Counts Poster Contest Awards.
Approved
- Conditional use (six antennas and an equipment shelter in an I-I Limited Commercial District) for 2211 Sanders Road - Clearwire Wireless Broadband.
- Pipeline Crossing Agreement with Union Pacific Railroad for Pfingsten Road 16-inch water main crossing.
- Contract award for Glenview Road resurfacing project to Arrow Road Construction. The entire $300,000 project cost will be covered by state funds; there is no cost to the Village.
- Regarding Cook County Class 6b application filed by D.R.L. Enterprises, 2301 Ravine Way:
- Agreement assisting and supporting D.R.L. Enterprises in qualifying for the incentive.
- Determination as to whether certain real estate within the Village is appropriate for a Class 6(b) classification.
- One-year extension of conditional use for Walgreens, 2871 Pfingsten Road.
- Extensions of expiration of conditional use for two McDonald's restaurants:
- 9815 North Milwaukee.
- 530 Waukegan Road. Vote 4-1 in favor.
- Objection to Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals Docket #8550, 602 Glenshire Road, which involves a proposal to replace a single-family residence in unincorporated Glenview with a two-story, four-unit townhome and a proposed amendment to the Cook County Comprehensive Land Use Map that would change the County zoning from R-5 Single-Family Residential to R-6 General Residential. The objection is based on the proposed use being incompatible with the Village's Comprehensive Plan Land Use designation of single-family residential. Additionally, the applicant failed to demonstrate how the proposed use complies with Cook County Zoning Ordinance standards. Vote 4-1 in favor.
- Funding for short-term Waukegan Road Corridor improvements:
- Briefing on Waukegan Road Corridor Committee recommentations regarding 2010 short-term Illinois Department of Public Transportation (IDOT) permit improvements.
- Amendment to 2009 budget for curb cut incentives.
- Contract award for design of 2010 permit projects to Christopher Burke Engineering. Budget: $17,500.
First Consideration
- Conditional use for Project X Customs, 2025 Johns Drive, Unit D.
- Implementation of a two cent/gallon Local Motor Fuel Tax. on January 1, 2010. It is anticipated that such a tax would generate approximately $290,000 annually, which would be used to maintain, repair and improve more than 133 miles of Village streets. Vote 3-2 in favor.

- First consideration of a Plan Commission denial for rezoning at 235 East Lake Avenue – Meier’s Tavern.
