Village Manager's Report
- Glenview Public Library Financial Update: Interim FY 2010 Cash Flow Remediation Request. Due to the extreme lateness of Cook County's second installment of property tax distributions this year, the Library asked the Village Board to consider, if needed, an interest-free loan to the Library’s Operating Fund for cash flow purposes in FY
2010 and beginning of FY 2011. This loan would be in the form of funding on an as-needed basis for payroll and warrants’ list obligations for a small portion of December ($50,000) and
possibly the first two weeks of January ($200,000). The Board was supportive of this request.
Approved
- Comprehensive Plan amendment and rezoning for Hawthorne and Meadow Lane.
- Contracts, Purchases and Bid Awards:
- Replacement parts for snow plows and spreaders to Flink Company. Budget: $36,400.
- Provision and installation of LED streetlight retrofit units to Utility Dynamics (amendment to current contract). Budget: $106,575. This project is made possible through a federal grant
- Single-lot subdivision of 909 Windsor Road - Fellinger.
- Conditional use extension for Jersey Mike's.
- Annexation Fee Policy:
- Territory to be zoned as a non-residential upon annexation: $3 per
square foot of gross floor area existing or proposed to be constructed on the territory.
- Territory to be zoned as residential upon annexation: $750 per dwelling unit
existing or proposed to be constructed on the territory.
First Consideration
- Ordinance clarifying Village policy regarding objects in right-of-ways and public easements. Plantings and other private objects are not generally allowed in public rights-of-way and should be removed. The Village takes no responsibility for the maintenance, repair or replacement of any planting or private object located in a public right-of-way or easement.
- Amendment to existing code to permit lighting on auto dealership lots up to 125 foot-candle level.
Discussion/Request for Board Direction
- Glenview Public Library Fiscal Year 2011 Draft Budget and three-year projection.
- Annexation of 3702 Central. Trustees directed staff to research the implications of annexing this single property -- including a cost/benefit analysis -- for further consideration at the next meeting.
