Village President's Report:
- Recognition of the Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Committee.
Presentation of the Glenview Library Budget and Tax Levy
- The Glenview Public Library presented to the Board its proposed 2008 Budget and a proposed tax levy of $4.5 million. Although the Board did not vote on this matter at this meeting,
a poll of Trustees showed support for a tax levy of $4 million.
Village Manager's Report:
- Village Hall Space Needs Study Process Update. Deputy Village Manager Don Owen provided an
overview of where the Village stands with regard to exploring options for developing adequate space for the
Village Hall.
Approved:
- Rezoning of:
- 1302 Prairie Lawn.
- Glenview Park District -- West Park II -- 1000 Zenith Drive.
- Three-year agreement with FiberTower Network Services to lease space on the Village's cellular tower at 1215 Waukegan Road. The company provides wireless
communications services to wireless carriers. Annual revenue to the Village: $6,000 plus reimbursement for the cost of power.
- Single-lot subdivisions:
- 1938 North Drive (Lewis).
- 2101 Fir Street (Price).
- 1529 Meadow Lane (Meridian).
- 44 Park Drive (Bertos)
- 700 Becker Road (Sakar)
- Final subdivision for 1423-1535 East Lake Avenue (Kensington Court).
- Contract Awards:
- Provision of a flu immunization clinic at the Glenview Police Station on December 7 to Maxim Health Systems. There is no cost to the Village, however,
there will be a $25 fee for a flu shot, and a $40 fee for a pneumonia immunization.
- Replacement of truck lift at the Fleet Services Garage to P.R. Streich and Sons, Inc. Budget: $31,787.
- Comprehensive operations evaluation of Glenview Police and Fire Services to ICMA Consulting
Services. Budget: $64,000.
- Release of the Village of Wilmette from an intergovernmental agreement for dispatching services effective December 4. The Village's new computer-aided dispatch
and records management technology will also be deployed on this day; the release of Wilmette will enable Village staff to focus on residents
during the transition.
- Identification sign in the public right-of-way for Valley Lo Club at 2200 Tanglewood Drive.
- Continued participation in the high-level excess liability pool (HELP) through April 30, 2018. HELP provides general liability coverage above
Glenview's own self-insured and conventional coverages.
- Final site plan and preliminary subdivision for Nea Maya Center, 3355 Milwaukee Avenue.
First Consideration:
- Tax levy for Fiscal Year 2007. After abatements (see below) and provisions for loss
and cost in collection, the proposed Village levy will be $9,917,000.

- Glenview Water and Sewer System: increase of 24 cents (for water) and 13 cents (for sewer).
- North Maine Water and Sewer System: increase of 66 cents (for water) and 12 cents (for sewer).
- Increase of one quarter of one percent (.25%) in Glenview's Home Rule Sales tax.
- Rezoning of 1139 Huber Lane (from R-1 to R-4).
- Commercial variation permitting one loading berth (instead of three loading berths) for the Nea Maya Center, 3355 Milwaukee Avenue.

- Regarding the Village Emerald Ash Borer Management Plan, an amendment to the Tree Preservation Ordinance.
- Public Hearing regarding annexation ordinance, rezoning, final site plan and preliminary subdivision for 600 Milwaukee Avenue, Central and Milwaukee Plaza.
