​After being subjected to 25 years of exposure to the elements, heavy traffic and vandalism, the west main entry door and east baggage room door at the downtown Metra station have deteriorated to the point where replacements are necessary
Workers are scheduled to begin Monday, February 24, to replace the door for the baggage entrance on the east side of the downtown Glenview Metra train station, which is expected to take about three days. Riders should not be impacted.
Following completion, crews are then to block off the platform doors on the west side to facilitate the replacement work. Access to the station will be limited to the east or north doors during that construction, which should take about a week.
