The Village will be hosting public meetings remotely using online and phone conferencing tools during the COVID-19 pandemic to address critical items necessary for the continuation of essential services to the community. These meetings will not take place at Village Hall. Therefore, in order to ensure the meeting is open and convenient to all, the Village will be offering several avenues for the public to view and participate in these meetings. The options and specific information related to a particular meeting will be included on the posted agenda.
This meeting process has been set up pursuant to Governor Pritzker's Executive Order 2020-07, which suspended the provision of the Open Meetings Act requiring the presence of a physical quorum for a meeting of a public body. Please note that non-essential public meetings remain canceled, in accordance with the Governor's recommendation that non-essential public business be postponed, if possible.
Although meetings will be held virtually, members of the public will still be able to submit comments both in advance and during the meeting. Meeting information and ways to participate will be updated in advance of the next meeting. Please note the guidelines in the agenda above.
