Project description

The project includes approximately 0.4 miles of improvements on Church Street from Grove Street to Pine Street, including installation of 8-inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) water main and water services; installation of 12-inch to 24-inch storm sewer​ to improve stomwater conveyance; repairs, removal and replacement of sanitary sewer manholes and service replacements, if necessary; and removal and replacement of the existing curb and gutter and concrete pavement with new asphalt pavement.

Tentative schedule

  • Bid award -- February 18, 2020
  • Preconstruction meeting -- March 17, 2020
  • Tentative construction start -- April 6, 2020
  • Tentative completion of construction -- July 10, 2020

The schedule is pending and may be revised due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday. Work outside these hours will require Village approval.

This past week the contractor finished installing the sanitary sewer services and mainline and began installing the new storm sewer mainline and services.

During the week of April 6, the contractor plans to finish installing the new storm sewer mainline and services. After the contractor has completed the storm sewer upgrades they will begin installing the new water main.

During this phase of construction, the contractor will be working in the street and parkway. This phase of construction is expected to last about eight weeks, weather permitting. Impact to the residents should be minimal, however; we ask that you please do not park on the street during construction hours, which are from 7 AM to 7 PM.

​This past week the contractor finished removing the existing pavement and began upgrading the sanitary sewer mainline and services.

During the week of March 30, the contractor plans to continue installing the new sanitary sewer mainline and services. After the contractor finished upgrading the sanitary sewer they plan to begin installing the storm sewer mainline and services.  

During this phase of construction, the contractor will be working in the street and parkway. This phase of construction is expected to last about eight weeks, weather permitting. Impact to the residents should be minimal, however; we ask that you please do not park on the street during construction hours, which are from 7 AM to 7 PM.

​This past week the contractor finished laying out the work and mobilizing equipment onsite. 

During the week of March 23, the contractor plans to begin phase I of this project. Phase I includes upgrading the storm and sanitary sewer mainlines and structures and installing new water main, services, and b-boxes. Throughout the week of the 23, the contractor will begin removing the existing pavement, and installing new sanitary sewer pipe and structures. 

During this phase of construction, the contractor will be working in the street and parkway. This phase of construction is expected to last about eight weeks, weather permitting. Impact to the residents should be minimal, however; we ask that you please do not park on the street during construction hours, which are from 7 AM to 7 PM.
