Emergency Medical Services & Billing


The Fire Department provides emergency medical services to residents and businesses residing in the Village of Glenview and its unincorporated areas. The department operates three paramedic ambulances 24 hours per day. In addition, all front line fire suppression apparatus  are equipped with paramedic equipment with a goal of delivering medical assistance within four to six minutes from the request of services. The department has over 60 State of Illinois licensed paramedics who also function as firefighters. On average, the department responds to 5,200 request for emergency medical services annually.

2024 transport rates

  • Resident rate: $2,421.00
  • Non-resident rate: $2,421.00
  • There is also a travel fee of $15.58​ per mile.

Are you a resident transport?​

If you are a resident of Incorporated Glenview or the Glenbrook Fire Protection District, the EMS Transport Billing program will have no financial impact on you. The Village will bill your private insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid and accept whatever it receives as “payment in full.” If you do not have an​y type of insurance, you will not be billed.

Are you a non-resident transport?

If you are not a Glenview resident, the Village will bill your private insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid. You will be charged your co-pay and/or deductible, as well as any portion of the bill not covered by private insurance.  If you are unable to pay, you may be eligible for the Village’s Hardship Waiver Program. Contact Andres Medical Billing to discuss your options.

Need a report?

If you would like a copy of a patient care report, you will need to present to Fire Administration a valid photo ID and a power of attorney or other valid document providing a release of medical records from the patient to yourself. The office is  located at 1215 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL 60025.

If you work for an attorney’s office, you may fax your request with a valid medical release form to (847) 724-2174.  Fire Administration will process your request in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.
