Actions:

  • Gave final approval to a temporary moratorium on new development projects in the D-Downtown Development District, in order to facilitate creation and implementation of an Economic Development Strategic Plan and update the Downtown Revitalization Plan.
  • Gave final approval to granting a planned development amendment and final site plan review for Vi at The Glen, 2500 Indigo Lane, to allow patio expansions for the 45 villa unit within the P-D Planned Development District.
  • Gave final approval to a conditional use for a permanent cosmetics, microblading and micropigmentation business within a unit in My Salon Suites, 2843 Pfingsten Road, a conditional use in the B-2 General Business District.
  • Gave final approval to a conditional use to allow an automobile sales and leasing facility at 3120-3124 West Lake Avenue, a conditional use in the I-2 Light Industrial District.
  • Approved an Art Walk event in The Glen Town Center, in place of the traditional Art at The Glen, and authorized temporary road closures and parking restrictions where required.
  • Authorized execution of a one-year contract extension with Creekside Printing of Elgin to print the Village of Glenview Report newsletter for $29,140 for September 2029 through August 2021.
  • Approved the purchase of 16 sets of replacement Globe Turnout Gear from Air One Equipment Inc. for $37,024.
  • Authorized a one-year contract with three optional one-year extensions to A1 Warren Oil Co. of Hammond, Ind. to supply fuel for the Village's fleet.
  • Preliminarily approved a conditional use, final site plan review and preliminary subdivision in order to demolish the existing Fire Station 8, 1901 Landwehr Road, and construct a new fire station building.
  • Authorized execution of the third amendment to the Purchase and Sale agreement between the Village of Glenview and The Drake Group regarding the sale of 1850 Glenview Road, the 0954-acre parcel consisting of the former Bess Hardware site a portion of Village right-of-way and a portion of land formerly owned by Metra. The amendment extends a closing date for the property to January 19, 2021.
