Actions:

  • Gave final approval to a conditional use, final site plan review and preliminary subdivision in order to demolish the existing Fire Station 8, 1901 Landwehr Road, and construct a new fire station building.
  • Approved a new Class A liquor license for Bonchon, 1615 Milwaukee Avenue, which allows the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises where food is sold, because ownership has shifted to I.A.E. Enterprise.
  • Authorized easement agreements between the Village of Glenview and NorthShore University HealthSystem relating to the reconstruction of Fire Station 8, to allow temporary construction work to relocate a curb cut on Hospital Drive and future vehicular access to Hospital Drive adjacent to Fire Station 8.
  • Preliminarily amended the Glenview Municipal Code to increase the number of Class B liquor license to 16 from 15; Class C liquor licenses to seven from six; and Class E liquor licenses to 28 from 27, to accommodate application requests from two restaurants.
  • Preliminarily amended the Glenview Municipal Code to repeal the 2012 International Code series and replace it with the 2018 International Code series and associated local amendments; amend sections relating to swimming pool, spa and hot tub code; and adopt an updated Engineering Standards Manual. Since 1995, the Village has periodically updated the model codes produced by the International Code Council, which are used by U.S. municipalities and internationally.
