Actions:

  • Heard an update regarding the Village's temporary outdoor dining policy, which has been extended for outdoor dining operations through November 30, 2021 during Phase 4 of the continuing coronavirus pandemic. Similar to summer 2020, staff will procure barriers for restaurants within The Glen Town Center to allow the existing parking stalls to be used for outdoor dining and issue outdoor dining permits village-wide based on compliance to the temporary policy.
  • Approved a final subdivision at 1605 Greenwood Road to create two new lots of record to accommodate the demolition of an existing residence and future construction of two new single-family detached residences.
  • Authorized a bid award and approved a contract with Joel Kennedy Constructing Corp. of Chicago for the Juniper Road and Beaver Lane improvement projects for up to $1,350,345.
  • Preliminarily amended the Glenview Municipal Code to increase the number of Class A liquor license from 46 to 48 and Class H liquor license from 7 to 8 to accommodate application requests from Blended Health and Smoothie Bar, 950 Harlem Avenue, and Forza Meats, 1811 Glenview Road.
  • Preliminarily amended the Glenview Municipal Code regarding fixed water and sewer fees charged by the Village, so that the fixed charge is the same for all meters that are 1-inch or smaller. These meter sizes account for 99 percent of all residential meters.
