Actions:

  • Gave final approval to amending the Glenview Municipal Code to increase the number of Class A liquor licenses from 48 to 50, Class B liquor licenses from 13 to 14; and Class G liquor licenses from 16 to 17; and approved Class A liquor licenses for Dee's Place, 2600 Navy Boulevard and Glenview Grind, 1837 Glenview Road; a Class B liquor license for Los Hurarches, 3842 Milwaukee Avenue; and a Class G liquor license for Foodstuffs, 1456 Waukegan Road.
  • Gave final approval to relocate the designated construction and use envelope at 1695 Portage Run to permit construction of a new in-ground swimming pool and associated accessory improvements in the R-E zoning district and Environmentally Significant Area.
  • Gave final approval to an Environmental Plan at 1651 Portage Run, a property in the R-E zoning district and Environmentally Significant Area, to allow for clearing of some existing vegetation, modifications to existing wetlands and subsequent construction of a new driveway, culvert, utility services and a new single-family detached residence.
  • Authorized funds related to insurance and broker services and claims administration:
    • Up to $674,628 for the Village's insurance program and binding coverage for the policy period May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022
    • Up to $50,500 for two one-year optional renewals with Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. for broker services for the renewals on May 1, 2021 and May 1, 2022
    • ​For $88,000 for a three-year contract with two optional one-year renewals to Cannon Cochran Management Services for claims administration services for the period May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2024
  • Awarded a contract for $1,974,294 to Arrow Road Construction Co. of Elk Grove Village for the 2021 road resurfacing program, which includes 3.5 miles of roadway, and 10,000 square yards of resurfacing through the annual Minor Area Repair Strategy (MARS) program; and approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Wilmette to pay half of the cost of improvements to Wilmette Avenue.
  • Waived the competitive bidding process and approved the purchase of firefighter turnout gear for $38,464 from Air One Equipment, the sole source provider for Globe turnout gear.
  • Authorized three-year agreements with Rave Mobile Safety of Framingham, Mass. for Smart 911, which allows residents to voluntarily provide medical and family information to the 911 center, and Rave Alert, a rapid notification system through which the Village can send large volumes of messages. The Village's share for the services are $2,039 and $3,333, respectively.
  • Preliminarily approved a final site plan review and preliminary subdivision for North Branch, 4520 West Lake Avenue, to allow construction of a 2,075-square-foot building addition for covered outdoor dining.
  • Preliminarily approved a final site plan review and final subdivision for Anderson Glenview subdivision, 1013 Prairie Lawn Road, to create four lots and one out lot for future construction of four new single-family detached residence and a detention basin.
