Actions:

  • Provided feedback on design, locations and costs for proposed gateway and Downtown signage. The goal of this signage is to create a sense of place in high-traffic areas in and around the Village. The board asked staff to develop a plan that incorporates additional public input.
  • Gave final approval to allow redevelopment of the Burger King at 1834 Waukegan Road, including portions of the existing building, ground signage, drive-thru expansion and stormwater detention.
  • Approved a six-month contract with three additional one-year optional extensions to a new pavement marking services vendor. The vendor, Superior Road Striping, would be responsible for repainting and/or repairing pavement markings that are worn down by traffic volume and weather conditions.
  • Approved a resolution amending the Section 125 Plan Document to allow for certain optional changes allowed by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act of 2020, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, and related guidance
  • Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village and the Glenview Park District regarding a snow dumping area at Community Park West. The Village and Park District have maintained this agreement since 2008 to allow snow dumping if storage is needed from Downtown Glenview, The Glen Town Center and other Village facilities.
  • Approved the voucher list for Oct. 5, 2021.
