Open house for Pfingsten Road safety study set for July 15

The Village of Glenview is hosting a Public Information Meeting to gather resident feedback as part of a Pfingsten Road Safety Study.

Date: July 15, 2024 

Time: 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Location: Glenview Village Hall

The Village will be studying the Pfingsten Road corridor between East Lake Avenue and Willow Road. Traffic data, recent accident history and the geometric design of the corridor will be reviewed as part of this study.

Resident feedback and suggestions regarding roadway medians, islands, bump-outs, turn lane revisions, bike lanes, multi-use paths, pedestrian crossings, access restrictions, landscaping, signage, curb radii, speed, and street lighting will be incorporated into the study.

Representatives from the Village and its engineering consultant, Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc., will be available to discuss the components of the study and answer questions.
