The Village of Glenview has announced the launch of Glenview 311, a new mobile app and online portal designed to simplify how residents submit requests for Village services. The new platform provides an easy and efficient way to report issues such as potholes, parkway tree trimming requests, damaged street signs or snow and ice control.

The app is user friendly and available for download on both iOS and Android devices. Residents may also continue to submit service requests online at glenview.il.us/service-requests.

“Glenview 311 puts the power of the Village in the hands of every resident,” Village Manager Matt Formica said. “It allows anyone to instantly connect with us to address issues and maintain the high quality of life Glenview deserves.”

A service request can be submitted to the Village in about a minute using the following five steps:

  1. Open the Glenview 311 app and click “New Request”
  2. Snap a picture of the issue or select one from your image library
  3. Provide your location – the app will default to your current location
  4. Select the appropriate category from the available options, and add any details that would be helpful for the Village to know
  5. Click submit

As part of the process, residents will have the option to create an account or submit the request as a guest. Residents who create an account will receive notifications to track the progress of the request.

“Our crews are out making rounds every day to repair and maintain Village infrastructure,” Public Works Director Joe Kenney said. “And we rely on residents to help be that additional set of eyes and ears that can alert us to issues on roadways and in our neighborhoods. We’re excited to be able to work even more closely and collaboratively with our residents through Glenview 311.”

Service requests for non-emergency issues regarding public property owned and maintained by the Village of Glenview can be submitted in the app, online, or by calling (847) 724-1700.

To report an emergency after hours or during the weekend, such as a water main break, sewer back-up, immediate snow removal issue or a dangerous tree on a public parkway, residents are encouraged to call the non-emergency Police Department number at (847) 729-5000.
