Submit your input on the Downtown Glenview Parking Study

The Village has engaged Walker Consultants, Inc., a Chicago-based consulting firm, to perform a comprehensive analysis of parking and parking systems in Downtown Glenview.

The study will include an evaluation of both on-street and off-street parking and provide recommendations for enhancements to the utilization of Downtown parking. Additionally, the Village is looking for its consultant to address parking perception issues and provide potential new parking strategies for the Downtown area. 

A new online survey has been created to gather feedback from residents, business owners, employees and visitors to the Downtown to understand parking perceptions and learn more about how the community uses the Downtown. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

The parking study will consist of four phases, including data collection (currently underway), a stakeholder analysis, development of recommendations, and implementation schedule with a final report. 

Programs and strategies that the consultant will consider as part of the study include, but are not limited to: parking management, connectivity, physical parking changes, regulatory changes, parking sharing opportunities, signage, education, marketing materials, valet parking, and public-private partnerships.
