Hometown Coffee Glenview, LLC is proposing the development of a new downtown restaurant at the properties located at 1869-1875 Grove Street and 1119-1129 Depot Street, formerly Middy Mags Pizzeria and The Noodle restaurant.

In partnership with the Owner, who owns the entire block along Depot Street between Grove and Prairie Streets, Hometown and the Owner proposes extensive modifications to the property and refurbishments to the building. Improvements include the removal of the existing industrial structure at 1119 Depot Street to the south of the new café to significantly enhance the area's aesthetics and add outdoor dining and onsite parking in place of the industrial space. The vision is to craft an inviting interior by remodeling the space, installing new window systems, adjusting the entrances and circulation, and adding a new outdoor dining patio under a heated pergola for year-round enjoyment. The exterior improvements would create an inviting store front that engages the Downtown Metra train station across the street and allows for outdoor dining along the sidewalk and on the patio that is welcoming to commuters and families of the surrounding neighborhood, as well as adding some on-site parking stalls.

Tentative Schedule

Partial demolition is anticipated in 2024 and construction is anticipated in 2025. A complete tentative schedule will be posted once available. Be sure to sign-up for updates to stay in the loop!
