Shermer Road improvement project begins July 7

The Shermer Road improvement project is set to begin on July 7, including 1.6 miles of improvements from Golf Road to East Lake Avenue.

The $2.6 million project includes roadway resurfacing, curb and sidewalk repairs, and parkway restoration. Additionally, a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) will be placed at the existing crosswalk near Swenson Park. Green bike lanes are also being added to enhance visibility and safety.

Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project, which is anticipated to wrap up this fall. Please drive carefully near construction areas.
