With fall around the corner, a reminder that rodents will begin seeking warmer locations to nest, and property owners are encouraged to take the following precautions:

Seal Entry Points: Inspect your home for cracks, gaps, or holes and seal them to prevent rodents from getting inside. Pay special attention to areas around doors, windows, vents, and the foundation.

Keep Outdoor Spaces Clear: Remove wood piles, old boxes, or other debris where rodents may find shelter.

Secure Trash and Compost: Make sure all trash is stored in sealed bins and compost is contained. Rinse recyclables before placing them at the curb.

Maintain Bait Stations: If you’ve already set up bait stations or work with a pest control service, thank you for being proactive! Bait should always be placed inside stations to protect children, pets, and wildlife.
