Construction Updates: Shermer Road, Glenview Road, Henley improvements and more

Updates on capital improvement projects taking shape across town:

Glenview Road Resurfacing: The resurfacing of Glenview Road from Shermer Road west to Milwaukee Avenue continues with concrete work next week.

Shermer Road Resurfacing: The resurfacing of Shermer Road between Golf Road and East Lake Avenue continues with concrete and paving work, as well as milling on the south side of Glenview Road.

Henley Street Improvements: The reconstruction of Henley Street between Railroad Avenue and Waukegan Road was delayed one week and is set to begin next week. In addition to roadway reconstruction, the project includes new watermain and curb-and-gutter replacement.

Central Parkway Bridge Construction: The Park District continues its work to replace the pedestrian bridge over the river on Central Parkway. Parking is restricted on Raleigh Road from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 19, 22, 23 and 24 while new equipment is brought onto the job site.
