Village introduces the Recycle Coach to guide residents on proper garbage and recycling habits

The Village of Glenview has partnered with Recycle Coach to offer more information on waste programming and recycling efforts in Glenview. Community members seeking to reduce household waste can now access the free Recycle Coach platform online or via a mobile app. 

With the Recycle Coach platform at their side, residents can:

• Receive collection reminders and real-time updates on service disruptions  
• Become recycling experts with a comprehensive "What Goes Where?" search tool, including local disposal information and collection requirements for more than 15,000 items
• Look up thousands of materials and find which waste containers they are allowed in
• View and set reminders for their collection schedule
• Take the “We Wanted to Know” weekly quizzes for helpful recycling tips and tricks 

Residents can enter in nearly any household item or simply snap a picture of it in the app to find out if it can be recycled and where the nearest drop-off point is.
