Visitors to Downtown Glenview now have significantly more parking options, with more than 150 new public spaces now available and additional capacity planned for next year.

A newly opened 60-stall parking lot at the former Patio Shops site (1755 River Drive) is now open for public use, adding a centrally located option for shoppers, diners and eventgoers. In addition, a new shared parking agreement with Colonial Court (1775 Glenview Road) provides access to 70 parking spaces during evenings and weekends, increasing availability during peak dining and entertainment hours.

Earlier this fall, the Village added 20 new parking spaces to the commuter lot near Depot and Grove. Taken together, these additions added 150 new parking spaces to the Downtown inventory in just the last few weeks.

The Village expects to add another 60 parking spaces next year to an additional commuter lot near Depot and Grove, bringing the total increase to more than 200 new spots throughout Downtown Glenview.

To help visitors navigate these new options, updated parking signage is being installed throughout the Downtown area and commuter lots. The Village also reminds residents and visitors that all commuter parking lots are open to the public after 11 a.m. on weekdays and are open all day on weekends and holidays, providing additional flexibility beyond traditional visitor parking areas.

The expanded parking supply follows recommendations from the Village’s Downtown Parking Study and is part of ongoing efforts to support Downtown businesses, accommodate growing activity, and make it easier for residents and visitors to spend time in Downtown Glenview.
