U.S. Navy's Naval Station Great Lakes to host Open House regarding landfill remediation

The U.S. Navy's Naval Station Great Lakes will hold an open house from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 to discuss the status of the planned remediation of the former Navy Landfill (Site 26). The open house will take place at Park Center (Room 101), located at 2400 Chestnut Avenue.

The remediation construction activities are planned to begin in the spring of 2026, with the soil removal and backfilling phases expected to be complete by the end of the year.
