Precipitation gauge returns to track rainfall and water levels in Glenview

The Village is excited to announce the return of its popular precipitation gauge.

The precipitation gauge offers a simple way to monitor local rainfall and water levels in near real time. The tool collects data from four locations across the Village: rainfall at the Public Works Service Center, rainfall on the east side of Glenview, the water level at Techny Basin, and the water level of the West Fork of the Chicago River’s North Branch.

Readings may be viewed hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. Residents can explore the tool by clicking on each location on the interactive map to view detailed data and trends.

While the gauge is a helpful resource for staying informed, it is intended for informational purposes only.
