Join the Glenview Police Department and the Glenview Park District for the 2nd annual National Night Out, held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 outside Park Center (2400 Chestnut Avenue).

National Night Out is a free night of fun, supporting community-building and promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. This year’s event will feature touch-a-truck activities, inflatables, face painting, games, food trucks, a Bicycle Town (requiring participants to bring their own bike and helmet), and a Kids’ Community Walk at the end of the event complete with glow bracelets and bubbles.

National Night Out was first introduced in August of 1984 through a network of law enforcement agencies, neighborhood watch groups, civic groups, state and regional crime prevention and associations and volunteers across the country. The first annual National Night Out involved 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.
