Glenview Park District to replace pedestrian bridge on Central Parkway

The pedestrian bridge that crosses the river on Central Parkway will be closed this fall as the Park District installs a new bridge.

Construction is slated to begin Tuesday, and the bridge will remain closed until work is complete in approximately three months, weather permitting.

The scope of work calls for the existing bridge to be removed. Then new concrete footings will be installed, and a new pre-fabricated bridge can be put in place. Next, the bridge concrete decking and approach sidewalks will be poured.
