Glenview earns national recognition for financial transparency

The Village of Glenview has earned the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its 2023 Popular Annual Financial Report.

This award highlights Glenview’s efforts to make complex financial information easy to understand for residents—without requiring a background in government finance. The report summarizes the Village’s financial health in a clear, approachable format.

With this award, Glenview also joins an elite group of municipalities recognized as a GFOA “Triple Crown” winner. This designation is given to local governments that receive all three of the GFOA’s top honors: Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting; Distinguished Budget Presentation Award; and Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award.

These recognitions reflect Glenview’s commitment to financial transparency and excellence in public communication.

• The Village has earned the GFOA Budget Presentation Award for 18 consecutive years
• The Village received the GFOA PAFR Award for the first time on its initial submittal to the program
