Village accepting applications for Environmental Sustainability Awards
The Village of Glenview is once again recognizing organizations that are taking the lead with environmental stewardship, innovative best practices and community outreach.
The Village's Environment and Natural Resources Commission has launched the eighth year of the Environmental Sustainability Awards program. Nominees can be any individual or organization, including businesses, schools, houses of worship and volunteer groups that serve the Glenview community.
To nominate themself or be nominated by another, an individual or organization should have completed the activities and achieved results that support the nomination from Sept. 2024 through Sept. 2025. Nominations will need to provide a narrative piece describing the experience, rationale for taking action, successes and environmental results or changes in practices generated or influenced. Applications must be submitted by email. The nomination form is online at glenview.il.us/ESawards and is due by Dec. 1.
Nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Glenview Environmental Sustainability Awards Committee, with recognition by the Village Board of Trustees early next year.
