We want your feedback regarding draft Sustainability Plan Recommendations!

On August 4, the Environmental and Natural Resources Commission (ENRC) reviewed draft recommendations for the Glenview Sustainability Plan. The Village is now seeking feedback from the Glenview community! You can provide feedback in one of two ways:

• View the draft Sustainability Plan recommendations here, then provide any comments to Doug Hammel at dhammel@glenview.il.us

• Plan to attend a Sustainability Plan Open House on September 13 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Park Center (2400 Chestnut Avenue)

On Monday, August 4, 2025, the Environmental and Natural Resource Commission (ENRC) will discuss draft recommendations for its new Sustainability Plan. The ENRC meeting will start at 7:00 PM and will be held in the Burnham Board Room at Village Hall (2500 East Lake Avenue). The staff report and draft plan recommendations can be found here. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting and provide feedback to the ENRC. Thank you for your support and interest as the Village works with consultants to draft the Sustainability Plan!

The Village's Sustainability Plan consultant, Blue Strike, provided an update on the project at the May 19th Environment and Natural Resources Commission meeting. The consultant reviewed findings from engagement thus far, baseline green house gas data, and strategy framework. A copy of the presentation has been uploaded to the project webpage, and may be viewed here.

The Glenview Sustainability Plan survey is now live! This survey is designed to gather feedback from residents to help shape the village’s future planning efforts. What key challenges does the community face? What actions should local government undertake? What programs are most effective?
