INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
Project Overview
The Village of Glenview is currently completing a preliminary engineering study for planned improvements at the Intersection of West Lake Ave and Pfingsten Road.
The general scope of work for this project includes:
- pavement widening and resurfacing to accommodate additional auxiliary turning lanes lanes for improved traffic flow
- wider sidewalks and improved pedestrian crossing safety
- decorative traffic signal replacement and signal timing improvements
The Village is hosting a public information open house meeting to discuss the purpose and need for this project, alternatives that were considered, land acquisition, and the tentative project schedule. Preliminary engineering drawings and project reports will be available for inspection and viewing.
Tentative Schedule
- Public Information meeting- Monday, April 14th 4:30-6:30 pm.
- Public Comments Due- April 28
- Preliminary Engineering & Environmental Review- 2025
- Contract Plan Preparation- 2026
- Land acquisition/easements-2026-2027
