East Lake Avenue & Waukegan Road
PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) in coordination with the Village of Glenview is completing final construction documents for the East Lake Ave and Waukegan Road Intersection Improvement Project.
The general scope of work for this project includes:
- Right turn lanes added at all four legs of the intersection
- Barrier medians constructed along the left turn lanes
- Sidewalk replacement
- Traffic signal replacement
- Relocation of utilities underground
- New street lighting
- Addition of gateway monument signage and decorative landscaping at the northwest and southeast corners
The Village of Glenview hosted a Public Information Meeting on Monday, April 14, at Village Hall. The meeting was conducted in an open house format. The construction plans were available for inspection and viewing while staff from the Village's Public Works team and the consulting engineer responsible for the design and construction management answered questions.
Tentative Schedule
Public Open House- April 14th 4:30-6:30 pm
Utility Relocation- Fall 2025/Spring 2026
Construction- Summer 2026/2027
